I try not to care or notice too much but I remember when i first got my truck in july i was getting around 375-425 miles per tank. Lately I’ve noticed I get around 300-350 at most. Is is something to do with weather? I drive with adaptive cruise control almost 24/7 and only set it 3-5mph over the speed limits sometimes. WHenever i fill up i reset and it will start out showing 22-24 mpg average but then by the time im empty it’s reading 19 or so. Just curious is all.

Yep. Totally my guess. Winter blend will do it every time.
That and the extra time the engine spends at high idle when it's cold out. Here it's not as much as an issue but we do get some cold days and I can watch my mileage decrease during those days. Back east I would easily see a 50-75 mile difference per fill up through the winter months as the truck would take a lot longer to warm up and drop the idle down.

I love it when peole say its the winter fuel!!

In reality it's all the pansies on here like myself that love to use remote start instead of going out into a cold truck LOL!!!! Yes remote start does affect that!!

It's a little bit to do with winter fuel blend, and a lot to do engine not reaching efficient temperature for much longer, plus a bunch of other fun things have more resistance when they're cold (and air density is higher):

It definitely is winter fuel. I just did a 900 mile trip with no warm-ups and only highway miles. You may use remote start and waste additional gas but we keep the vehicles in a garage that's fairly warm and zero remote starts from home. I went 2 tanks about a month to be sure summer fuel was gone from my truck tank and Costcos tanks before tracking.

I only get 340/tank (19 mpg) regardless of how gentle I drive. I complain about this terrible 2WD mileage all the time on here :D, and winter blends definitely make that frustratingly poor mileage sting even more...

I don't use remote start near as much as I used to thanks to parking in a heated garage. I think it's cheaper to remote start 5 minutes before leaving than keeping a 1,200 sq ft barn 50 degrees 24/7 but I'm thinking it's worth it! I haven't seen a winter heat bill yet. The one today creeped up some on me.

Since the switch to winter blend I've only lost about .8 mpg. I think it's because the truck is already over 50 degrees when I start it in the morning an no high idle. The last 2 winters I lost 2 to 3 mpg in the winter.

Yep, it’s about to get into the 30s next week here in the Dallas area and we’re all like, how many layers can I have on and still move? Texans are only okay when it’s about 70-90 degrees, any colder or warmer and we can’t handle it lol.

Same here Connor. We're into that cold front heading across the country right now. It's been in the lower 30's the past few mornings and only reaching the upper 50's by 4:00 pm, toady's a heat wave at 38. lol I'm freezing here and my hands are like ice cubes and I'm wearing a hoodie in the house! ?

I'm from Quebec but I swear some of Dallas winters are brutal. They don't last long but there were several days were I was glad to have that FJ40!

One winter, something like 38 water mains broke and we lived in a condo. Our neighbor, who had an end unit was all packed up for movers coming the next day had a pipe bust in the wall. We came home and the poor thing had 2 inches of water on the ground floor. We went to help and I knew it was really bad when her cat food bowls floated by my feet.

I still think of those as being some harsh and icy days, even though I've been in New England for 15 years now.
