Yup, that’s what I find so ironic about the minimum wage increases. People went from complaining about their hourly wages to complaining about not having a job at all because a computer screen replaced them at the register lol!I'm apprehensive about letting a human DR near my eyes no way I'm letting a robot near them! I think AI is good for some things/fields but IMHO having them operate is taking it way too far.
You want to replace counter workers at fast food joints with them I'm all for it. Once they mandated $17/hr (in some states) I knew this would be the future because no fast food business can sustain that rate. Plus I don't eat there anyways but from what I've heard most are already replaced by a Kiosk.
I was always taught that if you want more money, do better at your job or find a company that’s willing to pay you more. I also find it ironic that the people who are usually complaining about their pay rate are the ones that can’t do much else with their lives. Not trying to knock anyone, but people need to realize that low-skilled jobs earn low-level paychecks. If you want a “livable wage” bring something worthwhile to the table. No employer is going to pay you more just because you think you’re entitled to it. If that were the case, we’d all be millionaires.
