Icon vs. Deaver leaf springs?

Dang. $660 vs. $1,235

I don't object to spending money where money needs to be spent, but that's a pretty big difference in price.

I don't need the .375" lift of the Icons.

Has anybody tried them?

The Icon springs are very very new that at best they are on the way to someones house as we speak. Wich one is better? Can't say. Assuming you are still going for a "Pre Runner" then you will still want to lift the rear. Get clearance anywhere you can is the goal

Please let us know whether that settles down or not- the last thing these trucks need, is even more ride height in the rear...

I ran the Hellwig helper springs for about a year before. I expected the ride to be stiff but it was excessive, even with a load. I went with the APG/Dealer heavy duty (plan on having a decked system and GFC in the near future). Best purchase I've made so far. Ride quality is far better when loaded or not. Doesn't droop far when loaded. Expensive but worth it for my needs.
