Humming noise from engine

Hey guys was wondering if anyone could help
My 2019 wildtrak has this wired humming noise coming from the engine. It mainly happens when releasing my foot off the gas and when it changers gears. The other day I toped up the coolant reservoir and the noise went away for a short time until it built up pressure again. I got home and waiting for the car to cool down and opened the cap again to let the pressure out took it for a drive and if was fine, again until pressure built back up? Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

Hi Ricky,

Since we do not have a diesel here in the North American market, It is hard to help much. It sounds like you might have a defective radiator cap that is venting and making the sound..cheap part to replace and see if it remedies the problem. JMO.....

This thread is over two years old, so Ricky probably took Phil's advice and bought a new radiator cap or learned to sing along with the humm.

Seriously, the vacuum valve inside the cap may be fatigued and vibrating., causing a hum. ?
