You may be laughing... But I do this to my subaru every couple of weeks... I spray degreaser all over the block and undercarriage... Let it sit a few minutes and spray it off.

For a few hours I have no more leaking head gaskets or valve gaskets...
Knock on wood...nothing is leaking under my hood and I haven't coated anything with any spray coating...the entire engine is stock finish as is my interior...

I learned that on most luxury yachts, the entire engine room including the engine is WHITE...that's so it's easy to spot if something is leaking...

Here's mine at 98K...the only thing I do is use compressed air to blow out dust and rinse with spot free water for like 5 seconds once a month while I run through the coin wash...how often do you @AzScorpion open your hood Dave? ? ? ?

The engine cover is home to little furry creatures that act very much like small cleaning brushes as they scurry about eating soy-based wire insulation. =D

And, yes, I also provide said habitat in my engine compartment. =D

Yup. And yet, everything on a road vehicle is black.... Makes very little sense to me...

Nope, not laughing, it even fixed my leaky power steering pump until the next round.

My old 7.3 had a few sensors that when they went out you were stranded. You would always keep them in your glove box, typically the CPS and a 10mm wrench. Well that one went out, and another one that I do not remember. So dirty looks good under there.
And if it's like the 10mm socket, you won't be able to find that 10mm wrench when you need it.

Yes Pan has cost me a small fortune too. But he does have some good detailed videos and walks you though them so even a novice can tackle most things he shows.

You'd best get a ladder out and check the roof. Might look like a landmine of bird droppings up there. ??
Phew, no bird poop and the 2-month old single graphene coat is still beading the rain:

My first job was working in a reconditioning department at a car dealership (GM go figure). Every car I took in I sprayed down the engine bay being careful to avoid air intakes and electronics. Then I'd hand dry any of those areas I oversprayed. I've done this with every vehicle I've owned. Including my beloved Ranger. Never a hiccup.

I don't remember changing oil or checking tires back then either...??
You raise your hood to check your tires? What the hell kind of special tires do you have??

Honestly the last time I raised my hood was back in early May. That's when I installed my bug deflector. ?

Hey David,

Love the Gorilla Platform - sturdy, lightweight, locking legs, folds flat. I have two hanging on my garage wall and two at the cottage. Great products!

Here’s one at the ready in the back of my Ranger along with a Gorilla ladder…..

Thanks for sharing your excellent experience with them. It's better constructed than I had anticipated yet is still light.

With your positive view of it, I'm really looking forward to it being a useful tool.

Thanks!
