Not sure why Ford decided to put such a long antenna on an already tall vehicle but my antenna rubs the fully opened garage door going in and out. Installed the Stubby Jr. antenna I bought from CravenSpeed and issue is resolved. There's gotta be more Stubbys out there...
I could get into my garage with oem but when I backed out I would've ripped the whole thing off backing out. So. I went with the shortest solid aluminum one for now, same as yours I believe. Once I install the level kit I will buy a new one that's a bit longer. Only issue I've found going smaller is a few local stations now fade in and out and it takes a while for the HD stations to load.

Got mine from Cravenspeed and it was correct..!!
I got one from Amazon that was wrong as well. The box was labeled correctly but the antenna was not correct. Returned it and bought one directly from Craven and received the correct one.
I literally never listen to the radio but never liked the look of the stock unit.

I went with the stubby and got zero radio reception, I replaced it with a flexible one and then just cut it to length so I can go thru garage door without hitting it, at least now I get reception.

Mine has cleared up all the FM static I was experiencing, and the fit is perfect. No issues, so I'm loving mine so far.
Amazing we can all have such different experiences!

I was always told that girth is more important than length...

I put a CravenSpeed Stubby Jr Antenna on after I thought the OEM antenna got stolen. When I actually use the FM radio, reception with it is fantastic.

On a side note I ended up locating the factory antenna mast.

The Make-Ready team at the dealership where I bought the truck left it in the glove box... :curse: But anger aside, I prefer the way it looks with the stubby better anyway.

Put my stubby on last night. Eased up some tension goin in/out of the garage.

Still gettin good use out of the sirius trial so can't comment on the FM reception, kept the factory one in case.

Yeah, I tell myself that, too.

I think the fin is for satellite like Sirius, GPS etc, the antenna is for AM/FM. Love showing my 2 inch stubby as well. ?
