The genuine Ford drop-in bedliner has pockets. I assume it's for the same purpose. I haven't tried it out. I initially thought it was for segregating stuff in the bed.
Had I been able to find everything I wanted in Lightning Blue that would have been my first choice. It's a sharp color. Haven't had a nice blue vehicle since my '85 300ZX.
Here's what I did NOT do to my Ranger today: back it into a guardrail. I was at the dump dropping off stuff today. My tailgate was down so the backup sensor is going crazy because it thinks I'm going to hit the ground. Meanwhile, I'm backing up a little crooked, and I know it, so I'm going REAL...
I wish the center console and underseat storage (Crew Cab) were bigger. Push button start should be standard on most trim levels, along with HomeLink for garage doors.
I chickened out at 5,000 miles, partly because it was the start of summer. I go back and forth between the mountains and the Sacramento Valley, and it gets really hot in the valley. I think I will stick with 5,000-mile intervals so that I can schedule a tire rotation with every other oil change.
The Ford Performance leveling kit replaces the rear shocks as well. But are those shocks any different that the Fox shocks in the FX-4 package? It seems like I'm being asked to replace perfectly good shocks.
I had a situation at a traffic light where the person in front of me was slow to react to the green light, then sped up and slammed on the brakes when the light started to turn yellow. I never had a chance to react before the truck stopped itself. I'm a fan.
I generally like the white lettering out, but my last truck had Firestone tires with a rather unique etched sidewall. Check out Firestone Destination A/T Special Edition Sidewall. Better than white lettering IMO.
I have the cloth interior and my rear armrest feels like it was sewn in place. But I will try the various fixes once I remove the waterproof seat cover that is currently installed (great for pets, wet stuff and children...)
I would have gone with Lightning Blue but I couldn't find one with the right options and packages. My wife's SUV is orange so that was out of the question. But I am very pleased with Magnetic. With the matching wheels it just looks gorgeous!
