My 22 Ranger 302a XLT just had the 15k service at 16k miles. The shop said my rear tires are already down to 4mm. How many miles did you get on your factory tires?
I am at just over 27,000 miles on my Dynapro factory tires, and they still look almost the same as when I purchased brand new! I think I'll probably get around 55-60k out of them easily!

Mine too, actually. Pressures were all over the place.
I like to routinely check my pressures on the dash, especially after the the ole' screw-in-the-tire episode. Owners manual says not to rely on the displayed pressure, but in my experience it is very close if not spot on with my Milton guage. It is so easy and convenient to check the computer value.

This has been my experience too.

I think the main reason the manual says not to use it as a tire pressure gauge is that there's a lag before the system updates. If you're filling a tire and using the TPMS to see when to stop, it'll blow up while still reading low. That's not an issue if you're just using TPMS to see if it's getting to be time to add some air. Eventually the batteries will run low and that could cause issues also, but it's easy enough to sanity check the numbers by watching to see if they go up a couple of pounds when the tires warm up--if they don't, something needs fixing.

On my '22 XL, my Bridgestone's were fine the 1st winter, but with 2/3 tread gone after only 16K, they are now loose in wet and little traction in snow, replaced with 255/70R-16 Michelin Defender LTX M/S stock size per Tire Rack's recommendation. They haven't been wrong on my previous 5 Rangers!

I used to go out to an empty country road that was long, flat, an no houses on either side an use one of those drag race apps. I'd do 3 or 4 launches trying to time my 0-60. I didn't bother going for the full 1/4 mile. Not comfortable with that on a public road even in no man's land. With the Livernois high octane tune it would spin in 4wd an spin in 4wd with the locker on. Not much with the locker but it would. I could be rolling at 25-35 mph with that tune an floor it an just spin for a few seconds before finally hooking an going. The lower octane tune seems about as quick since I didn't get the wheel spin. I did this with the Nitto's too but they still looked new with 22K on them when I traded it in.
That is excellent, thanks for the kind words and very glad to hear you've enjoyed our tuning! It's always impressive to spin all 4 tires, especially with the locker. Definitely doesn't do the tires any favors extending their life but more smiles per gallon is well worth the trade in my opinion. :)

I've got like 37K on the original Hankooks. They still have some life, but they are also noticeably worn. I'll try to get through this winter and summer....and will certainly replace by next winter in 15-20K more miles unless they amaze me at that time (I doubt it considering the noticeable wear after 25-30K miles).

Will be going slighly (very) beefier next time with 265/65/18.

Probably could have gone longer, but the occasional hydroplaneing was becoming less occasional
42k on 17inch Hankooks

That reminds me, and I don't want to steal a thread, so PM if necessary. But I am going to go from factory exhaust to Gibson dual rear exit. Do I need a tune update from LMS for this mod? Thanks1

To be fair I didn't have a front locker so only 3 tires spun. When rolling an flooring it only one would spin since I never drive in 4wd or with the locker on unless it's snowing.

No, you don't need a tune update. A cat back exhaust is not going to give you enough additional power to be noticable and does not change the way the engine runs.

Have 61,000 miles on the original set of Hankooks. Rotated them every oil change which has been every 7000 miles or so. There is still tread on them but looking to having change them out in the next 5000 miles or so.
