How the heck does that happen? That is way too soon!
Dealership over inflated them, I aired them down about 3k miles ago.

Im sure I can get another 10k out as long as i keep up with rotations.

My truck has 17K+ now and you can barely tell the tires have been used. First two rotations at 5K but now I've decided to simply do the rotations with the oil changes. (The oil changes seem to be on a roughly 6500 miles schedule... because I'll have "change oil soon" on my mind and then will have a weekend/weather/opportunity to do it. Hence "about 6500." Don't hijack the thread guys. Oil change interval has been beat to death.)

Back to tires. My son in law has a '21 Tremor. His tire rotation schedule has been.... shit. Ran them so long and to the point of being so cupped and noisy that my daughter was hounding him to rotate the tires. (She also asks me vehicle questions.... which drives him nuts. ) Anyway, the tires on his truck now have about 50K on them and he's just started talking about needing tires. And they've still got decent tread. In looking at the tread remaining on those Grabbers, I can already tell you that I will be getting many, many, many miles out of the tires on my truck. If he's gotten 50K, I'd bet a beer and wings I can get 70K out of mine.

My coworker has a '20 F150 and he has over 70k on his original tires. I think he puts over 95% of his miles on the highway. It's all about how they are used and cared for.

Many years ago I had a chebby Lumina for a company car. LOT of highway miles. I put just over 100K on the 2nd set, which were Michelin. (Original tires only went about 35K and I had to replace. Don't remember brand.) Even with 100K the Michelin still had tons of tread. Alas, took the car to our company garage for an oil change and they made me get new tires as the old ones had started cracking. While I totally got it, part of me really wanted to see how many more miles I could have put on them.

Funny addition, put new tires on it. Michelin again because why would I not?! About 6 weeks later the car ate its transmission. No warnings... no issues... no hiccups. Stopped at a red light while on a road trip. Green light car refused to move without grinding, lurching , engine revving high.... I bounced it into the chebby dealer. Dealer driveway was about 100 feet on the right after the traffic light. :like: Goodbye car... and new tires. Not a chebby guy but up until that point that car had been rock solid.

Got my new Michelin Defenders on last Friday. Wow, and I thought the Duelers were quiet. So far they handle great. I went up one size and had to change the RPM from 693 to 681 with MyCalibrator to adjust the speedo up about 1MPH. Seems to pretty damn close now.

Dealers seem to think that the max pressure is the only pressure.
True. The very first thing I did when I got home was to check the pressure. They were at 45 psi. I thought the dealer would have set them at the correct level before I picked it up. (The Ranger was a factory order, not from the lot.)

My 2019 Ranger bought new still has the original tires going strong at 27777 miles. Only issue I had was the first year, I had a sharp rock cut into the tread which deflated the tire and had to get it fixed. But no problems since.

My 22 Ranger 302a XLT just had the 15k service at 16k miles. The shop said my rear tires are already down to 4mm. How many miles did you get on your factory tires?

Just replaced mine with 32000 miles could have gotten more but hit a pot hole and broke belt in one tire and just replaced them all. Purchased truck new in 2019 and those were the original Bridgestone, replaced with Michelin tires.
