That was the first thing I did to the Ranger and I have one on my wife's 21 Jeep too.

The thing I like about it is the auto start/stop stays fully functional if you ever wind up in a situation that you want to use it. You just turn it back on with the switch.

My guess the reason they have it reset to ON each time you start the vehicle is the EPA wouldn't give Ford credit on the corporate fuel mileage requirements unless it functioned that way.
Would be cool, for some if you could reverse polarity of the stock switch to be just that -- opposite -- on is off and off is on, so every time you start you would have to engage it instead of disengage it..

The farm truck in that video is one of the vehicles that races on the Street Outlaws tv show. It is a brutal race vehicle made to look like an old truck.
I like how farm truck rolls up looking like it's gonna drop some body panels on the strip and just smokes that lambo

I don't think it really does much for fuel economy. In spots where it would really help for fuel economy (drive thru lanes...ugh), you're oftentimes sitting long enough that it kicks back on, anyway.

I'm pretty sure it's an emissions/smog thing. I don't mess with it because I don't really care that much.

I didn't know they made such a thing, will look into it now.

EDIT: Just watched the install video on their website, looks so simple. Thanks man!
Tremorman is right!...

There are 2 MOD's I can't live without  ...
1. Autostop Eliminator
2. Damper (make that a DeeZee!)

If I opened my tailgate once a month or more I would get the damper, it's on my list. In the summer it's my kayak hauler, and I can see using a damper every day.

A 2 dollar night light plugged into the console outlet will disable ASS.
Andrew,
You are right about this being a good fix to bypass the ASSâś” I was going to use it but unfortunately my truck did not come with any 110V outlets, only the 12v's. Might be that only certain packages offer them. Rather than installing a 110V line, I opted for the Autostop Eliminator :)

Wait, seriously? Tell me more please!

Or is this a blinker fluid situation I'm falling for, I just changed my headlight fluid for f's sake, and now my license plate oil is low ?

If your truck has the 110v AC outlet, you can plug a $2 LED night light into it and the truck will see it as an accessory plugged in.

This makes it disable the stop/start.

I got a 2-pack on Amazon for $4.

Or just plug in a phone charger into that AC outlet. And your truck will remind you to charge your phone by turning off at traffic lights. Surprised Ford didn't make a big deal out of that feature. ?

What kind of mouth breather films a drag race at a strip and doesn't end the shot like so?

I'm genuinely interested to see what Farm Truck put down.
Farm Truck runs 4.30s 1/8 mile…9’s in the 1/4 Mile …

I just unplugged it from the battery terminal. I don't have to worry about it anymore and had an extra $60 to spend. Win Win.
Is there a thread on where exactly to disconnect from the terminal or could you tell me? Thanks!
