LMAO! When I was a kid, I dreaded the day my mom turned 40 yo as she would be an 'old woman'. The day I turned 64 yo, I pulled the following up on youtube and downloaded the entire album to iTunes. Had it on vinyl decades ago...60 is old until you are there ?‍
When I was ~20 years old, I took a traffic case to court and won. Later someone asked me who the judge was and I said something like "I don't recall her name, but it was an older woman." My dad had come to the hearing, and his description of the judge was "a cute young lady."Old and hot is an oxymoron. But then, that depends on your definition of old.
lol - yup - it's all in the eyes of the beholder. You dad was probably right ?When I was ~20 years old, I took a traffic case to court and won. The 2.0 and 2.6 Mitsubishi Astron engines were used here in the 70's in the Chrysler , later Mitsubishi, Sigma and Scorpion models. They actually went pretty well for the time but had a bad reputation for rattling timing chains, being thirsty, and burning oil after about 60,000 km. Later they were replaced with the 3.0 V6 which also went well, but also burned oil. This was more or less fixed in later engines.Reliants had a 2.6L 4cyl Mitsu motor as an option, 2.2L chrysler motor as standard. Mitsu v6 motors were an option in the later Plymouth Acclaim - Dodge Spirit - the K car's replacements.
I bought my 1st 'new car' in 1978. While I admired the big Chryslers - Dodges - Plymouths from afar, I bought this: Monte Carlo w/Landau option and V6. Fully loaded except for a sunroof. Somewhat similar to this one.
I remember the Mitsubishi Galant Sigmas sold here in the mid to late '80s. Handsome cars. 1988 depicted. The 2.0 and 2.6 Mitsubishi Astron engines were used here in the 70's in the Chrysler , later Mitsubishi, Sigma and Scorpion models. The Japanese designed bodies were also too narrow for here, and a bit flimsy, so Australian engineers later split them down the middle and inserted 65mm of extra width and extra reinforcing in the locally built ones which made them into quite serviceable cars. These were quite popular and even exported back to Japan. See pre and post development below.
That’s what I say! I’ll be 60 next month. It’s just a number. I don’t look it, think it, or act it! Also, my husband might have a thing or two to say about old & hot being an “oxymoron”.agreed!! I have been told many times I don't look 60, so why act it?
Ditto!you go girl!! Happy birthday early!
