Damn, I wish aFe cared a little more. Seems like a very straightforward adjustment for them to make.
Good to hear you say you don’t have an indentation in ur hood liner.

My lingering concern is the loss of flexible tubing to accommodate movement between the engine and intercooler. Wondering how much torsion is being applied to those connections and the consequence long term.

I’m not sure if that’s an issue..... I think the rubber connection gives it the flex it needs. Our engines aren’t moving a whole lot ya know. It’s only a 4 cylinder putting out less than 300hp

Threw mine in today. Same story as others - tight and cramped, lots of finangling, and cursing. That cold side is a major PITA

I have the GFB DV and did not have alignment issues. I also took the advice of others and didn’t even bother with the provided clamps on the cold side and used the stock ones.

Great initial impressions. Much more turbo sounds. ???

Im happy with it and definitely recommend.

It was tall-ish. The clip where the sensor is definitely leaves a small indentation on the liner (see below).

May just cut that little section out of the liner to make sure the clip stands up over time.

Word? Can you elaborate? Two different models or two different versions of the same model?

Hello hope everyone is well. I'd like to premise this question by saying this my first time nodding any vehicle. I recently installed the pipes and I get a whooshing sound/whistle when I accelerate (especially if I'm going upwards of 65mph). is that normal? Im just worried I installed it incorrectly and now its leaking. Appreciate your input and thanks for posting you guys' work! Have a good day.
I had the same question as you. Just installed mine today, the written instructions are horrible, it took me and a super mechanically inclined buddy with all the right tools 4 hours to change then. Super pain in the ass. Was not able to test the results as we are in the middle of a storm, hopefully tomorrow i will see if the time and effort was worth it. But the little distance that i drove back home i heard the same whistling noice and thought i had done something wrong.

I also have installed the Borla Cat-back dual exhaust, BOV (no problem with clearance on this) and the Roush air intake.

Yeah man I heard a sound that I did not sound like the turbo. it turns out I didn't tighten everything. The springs in my clamps are now all the way compressed. but I have not heard anything weird since.

Can that BOV go on any direction? I notice mine is rotated to the left more than the pictured one.
