No, there are a bunch of different holes that allow them to get under the cowl and then there's nothing to stop them at the firewall on the passenger side.

They are under the plastic cowl. Did you pull the cowl off?

I think the holes look bigger in the pic than they really are. But, like you said, if I have to, it will be really easy to add wire to them. I just dont want to restrict airflow too much because, my luck, I'll destroy the blower motor because of the lack of airflow.
