What you see on @RangerVA truck is the ARB Summit Bull Bar with Side Steps(not rock sliders) with fender tubes. Keep in mind that every part has a use. If you have no need for it, then you shouldn't bother.

For example here is my 2012 Frontier Pro-4X that I have right now. It has the ARB Deluxe Bull Bar and some Z1 Rock Sliders. It also has a Snorkel from Z1 as well. Keep in mind that I have more uses than just looks. For my use I need the vehicle to be able to handle what I can throw at it(or run into).

I still like that body style. Always will I guess.

Been thinking about possibly putting a snorkel on the ranger… Has anyone done it? I have no reason for wanting to do this other than “just because” lol definitely not a necessity and I really don’t offroad enough to need it. Thought maybe it would look cool? Idk… Opinions?
Well if you've already put a RTT on your truck and you might as well go all the way...want to buy a lightly used RTT?

There are many functional adds for YOUR truck. Totally up to you.

For me, no way;
1. Driving through deep enough to make the change useful would be never and other problems would likely occur - from water entry.
2 it's ugly, up periscope!
3. Lighting, suspension, rubber, tools, tune, other real world performance mods overshadow it completely.

Rock On! Enjoy your RIDE, life here is short.

I had one for a while but didn’t use it enough, it was just taking up room in my shop most of the time lol. I gave it to my brother when he got his truck last year.

Usually if we’re camping, I’ll take the truck as far up the trail as it’ll go, then we’ll get out and hike back to wherever we’re staying for the weekend.

Surprisingly enough I have gotten some nice compliments on it
No doubt. As I’ve said many times, my ‘06 NISMO (black) was an absolute “take me to the shop again” pain in the ass. And Nissan Corp. was useless. But…. I loved that truck. Weird I know. And in spite of all of it, every time I looked at it I thought “nice looking truck.”

hope yours treats you well.

No regrets from me. I had a snorkel on my 2011 FJ Cruiser that I kept for nine years. The snorkel has been on the Ranger since the year I bought it (2020). I also have a snorkel on my other rig, which is an import.

When I lived in GA I absolutely loved having a snorkel on my truck. I was fairly dusty trails often and my air filter always stayed clean. I live in flat South Florida now and I haven't been off road in a long time. Now the snorkel is a fancy truck ornament. ?

Everyone needs to do it once, I don't plan on it with the Ranger, past the tranny its trashed, past the radio and you got nothing left hahaha
#1 try to never be hood deep in water the repair would exceed the worth of the truck and you would have to drive home without tunes anyway.
Invest in a Water Proof Baggy for your phone so you can call someone to drive you home, and your insurance company and bank to tell them where you left it LOL 25 years ago I had a new Chevy Z71 in Georgia, (GA Clay sucks, I cant recommend GA to off road) the water had to be at the intake level, but it got me out and home, I hit a few trees on the way out for fun because I knew I had trashed it anyway and parked it in the driveway, insurance said that was stupid, bank wasn't happy... wasn't in my name hahaha my girlfriend at the time didn't sleep with me for a month
If you can afford it, it will be a life long memory you can tell your kids, not that they don't know you are crazy already :)

Great - you posted a link to an item to purchase online. You know what this means, don’t you?

David is going to stumble onto this thread and I’m pretty sure you’re aware of his impulse control issues. On a positive note, “Delivery Driver” is the fastest growing job category in New Hampshire.

Snorkels are cool and even functional on certain off road vehicles. The US spec Ranger of recent vintage is not one of them. The alternator on the turbo 4 hangs off the bottom of the engine. Thus it will collect water/mud while fording streams. You will hear from from some gen5 Ranger owners how they drove under water with nary a problem. They may have drove over a trickle of a stream but I guarantee they did not ford an actual body of water that went over their hood.

Do remember that Snorkels are not just for Water Crossings. They have other purposes as well. When it comes down to making a vehicle ready to Ford Water, there will be other things you need to do in order to prepare for it. What things need to be done will vary by vehicle.

If you can aim it towards the rear and make really thick smoke come out, then HELL YES !!! Otherwise, ima pass (my version would require diesel smoke to offend all the senses though, or some 2 stroke maybe ?)
