I've done nothing to the transmission, still has the original fluid. I was thinking to have a flush done soon. My previous F150 I had flushed out at about 120,000 miles with little to no change in the way the tranny performed. All in all, everything is exactly the same as when I purchased my Ranger, even the engine coolant. The only thing that's been changed or filled is the oil and the window washer fluid. Brake pads still have many more miles to go. Amazing, if you ask me.
You must have more miles than me by now? Tranny still holding up?

119,000 miles reporting in. Also stock pads and battery here.
66,207 mi as of right now. Going in this morning for a Works Package. 10-4 on the brake pads. I have 141,000 on my 2009 Mariner on the original pads. I'll probably have them changed next service- not waiting until they start squealing.
Coast more, brake less.

Ford seems to go in quality build streaks. My '09 Mariner seems to ride the crest. Original exhaust, brakes, fluids except coolant. and trans. I replaced a right half shaft, and coolant every four years. I did plugs and trans oil & filter at 101,000. As trouble free as the 2000 Focus it replaced, and the body is in much better shape. Maybe because I own one, but I see a lot of 2G (2008-13) Escapes/Mariners* still on the road.
However the 2013-2019 Escapes were-are plagued with problems, 2020 and beyond less so.

*The Mercury Mariner was discontinued along with all Mercurys for 2011.

Any tranny problems at all? Any work or maintenance done on the tranny?

Tranny has the regular stutter and such but I’ve been learning to work around it. Clearing the memory because it typically gets worse as the truck “learns” how I drive.
Also do NOT get a flush. I did and my tranny lags makes a loud vibration unless I double tap the gas and force the downshift. Only happens at low RPMs. I was warned about flushes knocking pieces loose and forcing them into other spots in the tranny and didn’t listen so I’m eating this problem as created by me.

Thanks for the input. I'm working on every angle possible to get the Ranger tranny over 100K and beyond and hopefully intact at that...

Ok, I finally traded in my 2019 XLT for a 2024 XLT. The 2019 left me with 135,000 miles without one single problem, all original except the tires, 26mpg average fuel economy. I told the sales person I didn't want to drive the '24 because I already know that my 2019 runs and drives the same way! I truly believe as the miles stacked up, the truck ran better and better.

In any event, here's the 2024 XLT. Has many options. And the gas mileage right out the gate is IMPRESSIVE!!

Yea, it's the same color as my last truck, which is Magnetic. Kinda funny, most don't even know that I got a new truck lol They both look almost the same.

Well, I know it will, hope it will! Only thing I did was change the oil every 3k miles. The 2024 is kinda the same truck, just refined. I'm digging some of the features it has. All in all, quite happy. I got the 24 for a good deal, during an oil change at the Quick Lane, walking around the showroom, killing time, just bumped into it and told the general manager "I'll be back."

That's why I stay in the waiting room. Something usually follows me home when I don't. lol

Good luck with the new truck and hope you get as many (or more) miles out of it than the last one!
