Howdy everyone, I’m new to owning a Ranger (or pickup for that matter). Just bought a 2019 XLT with 48k miles on it. This forum has been an awesome place to get info so I figured I should introduce myself as I’ll likely be around a while.

Welcome David. You've come to the right place to get your questions answered, albeit sometimes sarcastically. Join the fun.

Post some pics when you get a chance.

Welcome, and remember....
Just cuz we plow tons of cash into our Rangers, it doesn't mean you have to.

...just kidding, yes you do.?

Welcome, David from another David!

The forum members have a tremendous amount of knowledge and I've never seen any Ranger issue stump everyone.

I've learned so much here (like my inability to control spending on Ranger mods). =D

It's all good and if you ever question the need for a tailgate damper, the answer is yes. Also. the universal answer to any Ranger question is 303.

Okay, enough silliness. =p

Post lots of questions and lots of pictures! =)

Have fun, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the best forum ever!

PS - If it's not too late, maybe this should be your first mod:

Sorry guys not the best pics but I’m gonna take some good ones at a more scenic location when things start to warm up. I really enjoy this truck so far though. The only thing that I’ve been disappointed with is the crazy loud fan when I start up, but I’m getting used to is :). I’m gonna try to figure out how to install leds in my bed under the tonneau cover I put on it, but every YouTube tutorial seems so crazy complicated so I probably need to take it slow and get used to understanding the layout of the vehicle before I dare make my first attempt at anything with wires

This is easy. There's the super secret power circuit clipped up under the drivers side rear fender. It's actually the third 12V power point for those with the drop in bed liner option. I bought a harness from Wolf Haus that's plug n play. Certainly enough juice to run led bed lights. No wires to run from the front. I'm sure there are a bunch of threads on this.

That'll be 25 cents please, or I can put it on your tab.

Well I’ll be… thank ya, you can add it to my tab. Is there a way to test this outlet? Mine looks a little worse for wear

There's a power connector tucked up behind the rear passenger tire. It's capped off and you can use one of the harnesses/adapters from Wolf Haus. Made by a forum member (can't remember his name) https://whor.us/store

Edit: Someone beat me to it lol

There's an empty plug on the driver's side rear wheel well that you can use to power bed lights.

A forum member makes a kit that many use to connect to it and get power into the bed. He has a model that has a split pigtail perfect for bed lights.

Top of the pic below is the factory plug and the plug in hand is the Wolfhaus - this pic is from @Tracy Bowman:
