New addition here but not new to Rangers. I ordered a 1993 STX from Ford back in the day. It was a great truck. This new one is a 2021 Lariat, 4WD FX4 with the 501 package and tow. I was lucky to negotiate a deal for $160 over invoice as Rangers are scarce here and most dealers want MSRP and more. I guess I hit them on a good day. Not a huge fan of the white but I hope it will grow on me. I had a Maverick on order but I needed a truck now and a Little bigger isn’t a bad thing. Hope to gain knowledge here and contribute when I can. Thanks for the add

LOL. I know. I’m old and have bought and sold around 100 cars. I only made money or broke even on 1. There were several cars I restored and never got my money back. I do it because I enjoy it. I also like my vehicles to be the way I want them to be.

I'll save you some time...Ignition key bezel ring from the guy on here 3D printer style, Putco or M2M grille to fill the hole in the front, center console tray, engine cover, 2 more tow hooks for the bed (if yours is missing), the itsy bitsy antenna, blacked out LED side markers (maybe not, but I really like them), Husky X-act contour floor mats, Exhaust tip (I prefer black Rhino tip), Tailgate letters to fill in the stamped look, Shocks (yeah, I know, it's a new truck, but you'll see)..that should get you started. This site has cost me way too much, but it's actually turned in to a hobby now.

Welcome and I know you will enjoy the Ranger. Big question is will you join the damper club or the resistance? :explode:

Welcome Greg. Fantastic truck and fantastic community along behind it. Amazing you were able to snag at above invoice during these rough times, if I may ask what was the total price before taxes? It is quite interesting you got a vehicle at this price when most are marked up 2.5k-10k. I know you have a challenger, but every thought of a fun tuned truck? Well you own half of the equation, just research on which tune you want :) I have read good things about FP tune, Unleashed and Livernois. 5star will get you a 5 second 0-60 stock ranger but it comes at the cost of stressing your drivetrain and I have read a few issues with 5star. I won't knock anyone getting 5 star as it is their money and fun but they do offer a warranty on their tune which most don't. Pay to play I guess.

$160 over invoice? I would say you got a GR8 DEAL.

I don't think you will have any regrets getting the Ranger now rather than wait for a Maverick.

You are wrong, white is the best color.

JK, to each their own. I had never owned a white car. My last car was a white outback and I bought it from a dealer that someone traded in... it was the proverbial 'only driven on Sundays by an old lady" car, absolute cherry condition with 25K miles on a 6 year old car. That's the only reason I bought it.

Anywho, to my point, after owning that car I will never own anything but white. I think you will end up liking it.

Looks like we both have the same truck, but mines a scab.

I’ve had white cars before, the last being a 2013 Lincoln MKX. I really don’t mind white but if I had an option I’d prefer red, gray, or blue. At this time beggars can’t be choosers

Hi Greg,

It is hoped that your new Ranger delivers on your expectations as did your 1993... If you visit SW Arizona in the summer...you will appreciate your white Ranger!

Happy Motoring....

Best,
Phil
