Need some help pointing me in the right direction. I have a 21 Lariat Tremor Package. Located here in SoCaL and we’ve been getting dumped with rain lately. I’ve noticed water puddles on my driver & passenger floor weather mats. I’ve taken it to Ford once already last week, they did “water testing & left the truck outside in the rain.” Unfortunately they weren’t able to locate the leak. So I ended bringing the truck home after a week. Water looks like it’s coming from behind the glove box and behind the steering column every time it rains. I don’t do any crazy off-road or drive in large puddles of water. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

My driver door leaks onto the sill but not inside. It has 2 sets weather stripping on the door so the outer one is leaking. The other doors are ok.

@canyonslicker yeah mines leaking on the inside of the cabin just behind the glove box and driver column. It’s definitely not the AC lines leaking. I hardly even use my AC/heater. Almost looks like it’s trickling somehow down the windshield or the pillars.

Check and see if your truck is part of the windshield recall. They had some that were not sealed properly. Other than that the other thread goes into detail of how the issue was fixed. Good luck!!!

I saw a member post a video here that was really brilliant - it was a positive pressure test for windshield leaks. I looked this up and apparently you can create positive pressure in the vehicle by simply keeping windows up and running the aircon at full speed with re circulation turned off . Then you spray soapy water on the windshield seals from outside of the car and see if it blows bubbles.

So long as the positive pressure trick really works I would imagine this would reveal your windshield leak if you have one.

Did they ever find the leak? My 2019 is doing the exact same thing and going into the shop next week.

I don't often quote myself but when I do I prefer to be correcting myself, so;

To run the positive pressure test in a truck - you must also plug the vents behind the rear seat. If you do as I listed below (instructions for a sedan,) you will not achieve positive pressure and thus won't get any bubbles no matter what you do.

When I was trying to help OP I found these instructions but have since learned about the cab vents on trucks. The more you know...

Water in 2019 Ranger after the recent rains.

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks like (2) points of entry.
1. Beads - Upper left floor mat.
2. Beads - Right kick panel

I would pull the Glovebox and check the TCU and TRM, they both are mounted in that area above the drip (beads) - Just to see if they got wet. (Right Kick Panel)

Thank you, the leak is above the glove box and damage some components. I have it going into the dealership this morning thankfully.

My 2019 is doing the same. Has anything new been learned about this? My Husky Liners were puddled this morning after it rained all night.
