At least that worthless dealer add on can be removed easily.

It isn't exactly worthless...
Without it, the tailgate tends to jump the hinge if something in the box load floor interferes when closing. also it is a bit of a theft deterrent, at least as good as a bicycle lock.

Pretty much what I told them Phil. I said it was worth $500 max and I was being generous. Actually I told them to take the nitrogen out and refill it with air. ?

I think they meant it was a OEM Ford liner not an aftermarket one. There was never a factory charge on the window sticker. Still $3K for these items? I'm sure some will walk in and just say it though.

I can see where the tailgate closes, I don't live in a shithole where I worry about tailgate theft, and I can lock my doors.

On the other hand... I have a well equipped STX SuperCab, eschewing the Lariat 4X4 with about $20,000 in "worthless" extras!
