I use the opener several times a day and recently heard a crack when pushing the programmed one (middle) and noticed the button sunk deeper into the plastic body. Fortunately the button still operates correctly but was wondering has anyone else had the same issue & does anyone know how to remove the unit from the visor? If it’s pretty straightforward I may do it myself as opposed to the long strenuous process of having the dealer look at it/repair etc. It’s hard to tell in the picture but the middle button is loose now and the outer ones are snug fitting…TIA!

Could you just program one of the other buttons instead?

Why didn't Ford mirror the buttons on the other side of the visor?

It passes me off everytime I pull into the house with the visor down.

My Subaru's have the Homelink on the rear view mirror. I think that is a much better location, for the reason you mention.

I've used them.

The one thing I dislike about that location is I always felt like I needed to back the mirror with my finger to keep from moving the mirror. Almost pinching the button instead of pressing it.
