Your being a good sport with all of this! If it's any consolation I had a dumb arse attack backing a trailer looking into the sun and managed to jack knife on a curb and dented my bed side so I am going to see if I can pull it out.
When it's your own damn fault, it's a different kind of pain.

When I attend my daughter's softball games I park a good distance from the field. Watching high school girls smack foul balls into the parking lot made me cringe every time it happened.

Some of them girls I swear are cornfed and can do some serious damage with those honking oversized baseballs.
Looks like someone needs to put up some netting, either the golf place or the establishment where you are going. I would think the businesses would be responsible not the individuals. Either way your insurance company will decide who

So is the paintless dent repair guy going to give you a bulk discount?

Sorry, posted this as a reply to the wrong thread.
Well, I got a call from the shop doing the PDR, the dent in the fender went well, not 100%, but pretty good. The dent on the cab not so much. The paint chipped trying to pop it out. CRAP! They are going to touch it up and let me decide if I want it repainted or not. Should be picking it up tomorrow.

Picked up the Ranger today after the PDR plus touch up repair. The fender turned out pretty good. Only someone looking really hard in really good light could find it. The rear cab corner, where the paint chipped in the process isn't terrible, better than before, but a little more noticeable. To properly correct it would probably 4 or 5 times the cost. And I did not want to file a claim for this.

Looks pretty good for PDR on a seam! A sticker/vinyl graphic could mask the color chip on the cab.

If anything, now you have a reminder staring at your every day to park further away.

Fender looks very good - too bad about the chip. :(
I remember the first body damage on my last car. I backed my truck into it. Got it repaired very reasonably by an ex-body shop guy who worked out of his garage. Very happy, then one deer hit, then another. Neither left much damage, but by that time I was like screw it, it's now old enough not to worry about.

I made a thread about my bone head move backing up a trailer.

I ended up reporting it to my insurance company and paid the $500 deductible. I found a local shop, recommended by the paintless dent guy who couldn't fix it, and the shop turned out to be a repair shop for the insurance company. Long story short, they fixed it perfectly.

I asked about what to expect with the longevity of being painted, and the owner said "it's a lifetime warranty since we are an approved repair center, and I don't make money if I have to do it again."

I thought that was a good answer.

That looks really really good.. I tried zooming in and I’ll never be able to look hard enough to see it..even with my glasses on ?.
it’s a very annoying situation for sure, but are you happy with the repair and that’s what matters..
aside from the chip still being there that sucks regardless..
my friends would just say “now your truck looks more like a truck.” ?
(they all have dents chips and bent tailgates from hauling materials too long for the bed and other truck activities ?.)
