So I contacted the parks and rec department via email today. They sent me a link for a form to fill out for a claim to the city. We'll see how that goes. Kudos to fast response.

Hey - it never hurts to ask and while it doesn't make the situation any better it does help (hopefully) alleviate the out of pocket expense from you. It's along the lines of people who are pleasantly surprised when they file a complaint against their state's DOT for having a blow out due to a pothole and receive reimbursement. Fingers crossed.

Its even more a waste than a golf course of a perfectly good rifle range!!!!!!

The course here is laid out really well. I took these shots this morning and you can see there's not much of a chance of hitting anything. It is along the walking/jogging trail but all the disc golf players are very respectful and wait until there's no one on the path.

The basket is at the woods line on this one

You'd better be good on this hole because you have to bank it hard left or it's in the woods or in that swampy area.

They designed the last hole pretty good. The parking lot is off to the right and a good 25-30 yards from the basket. You'd have a better chance at hitting the building that a car. I still park at the far end because I'd have the same luck as you do!

Dang, that's gotta be an awful feeling seeing that happen to your vehicle!

We had a nasty hail storm way back in '85 when I lived in MA. The only reason I remember this was I had just bought my first brand new car a 1985 Monte Carlo SS. I was working for a company at the time and luckily I had a company van and every morning I'd put my car in the garage when my dad left for work. Every single vehicle outside in that area was destroyed by the hail which was golf ball + in size.

We had a good hail storm in AZ about 5 years ago. I got lucky again and my Ranger was in the garage but there were several cars with some dings and broken windshields.

Your being a good sport with all of this! If it's any consolation I had a dumb arse attack backing a trailer looking into the sun and managed to jack knife on a curb and dented my bed side so I am going to see if I can pull it out.
