After waiting 2 months my FOX 2.0 Stage 1 suspension kit finally showed up. I took measurements from the ground to the Bottom of the fender both sides. Yesterday I Installed the coil overs and rear shocks. From reading Stage 3’s info, and info on the FOX website I anticipated 2-2.5” of lift in the front with the new coil overs as set from the factory. To my dismay I have only gained 1.25” of ride height… I figured Atleast they’re adjustable, but then I read that they have to be removed and compressed in a press to adjust the collar… I don’t have a press and I’m not thrilled with spending money at a shop to have somebody do it for me when it should’ve shipped at the advertised setting.. I will say the ride quality is incredible compared to the FX4 coil overs, but this is definitely annoying.

It looks fairly level but that could be the angle. That is frustrating though. I got just shy of 2" out of mine I think so I'm not sure what went wrong on yours. And yeah, for adjustable they aren't exactly adjustable. I would contact Fox and at least see what they say. It's a lot of coin to drop to not get what you expected.

That’s what I’m saying! Pretty much $1300 out the door for something that I now have to fix. I wanted this specific suspension and I won’t back out. I just want it right. I gotta stuff some 32” tires in there! ?

Man this got.me worked up just reading it. Let's march down to get some answers! Haha jk but no seriously that's not right man you trusted them to be behind their word. Maybe, just maybe, they gave you shocks for a 2wd and not a 4wd? My icons were spot on and I could adjust them with a spanner wrench, even then it's hard to do and requires an alignment.

Another pic from a different angle.

Just me here, but that looks perfect to me. You might not have gotten the lift you wanted but the lift you got looks great. I was going to get the Ford Performamce Fox kit and have the dealer back them down some.

I agree that looks perfect. And fox is the best for on road off road trade-offs.

I agree, surely you don't want to lift the front any more? You'll be pointing at the sky

I guess we will have to see if the tires will fit! I definitely think it looks better, but through other reading on this forum I am under the impression I need that extra height to clear the tire size I want. (275/65R18). I do think I started the thread just to bi@#& for a sec ?.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I put the Eibach coilovers on set at 2' (will go 3+) to level, Eibach even supplies the spanner to adjust the spring (on the truck). Did my first off road trip the other day and I was impressed with how well they ride off road as well as on, for $800 I think it was $$$$ well spent! It sucks that you have to take them off and use a press to adjust, one reason I went with Eibach.

Good thing for Old Man EMU having my back with a lift kit that does what is advertised right!!?

All joking aside yeah I would be a bit frustrated with this as well. If you havent already I would get it aligned since that will help make sure the measurements are correct.

I think the amount of lift varies 1.5-2" based on the truck, from where they are set out of the box.

I believe, and don't quote me on this, that the fx4 front end rides a little higher from factory than a normal 4x4. So what I think happened was your shocks are absolutely set to about 2 inches from factory height, just on the base model and not the fx4. Truck looks great.

The FX4 is slightly hogher than a non FX4 truck but that is due to tire size. The shock height between the FX4 and non FX4 are the same. Just different dampening.

I bet you could compress the spring while on the truck with two "simple" spring compressors. The dangers of those compressors are mitigated by the fact the spring is not removed from the strut.
Please evaluate the risks before you proceed this way.
