For those that like to travel into the wilderness and go camping from time to time, it is already known that one of the things we should probably have with us is a tank full of water. This would usually be freshwater of sorts that could be used for drinking or any other type of thing you would need water for like washing dishes or something.

Now for me I ended up going with a frontrunner 42 Liter(11.1 Gallon) Water Tank. I had the thing for quite a while and was unsure if I was going to try and mount it in the bed of my truck or on the roof rack. At the time I didn't really have the roof rack laid out well to make that decision. Now that I have the Wavian Gas Cans I decided to go ahead and mount the tank the other day. The first thing I noticed after I got it installed in a place that I was okay with, the water tip that was given with the tank like to leak right where the O-ring was. Then again Frontrunner didn't really plan this thing out very well. But that in mind I decided to go ahead and do a relocation of the tap anyways and get some fittings from my local Lowe's. Thankfully it's just a half inch pipe thread for the water tap. So thankfully you don't have to go get some kind of special adapters or anything like that.

With everything mounted I decided to go ahead and use part of a half inch hose that I already bought and made my own little extension hose from the tap so I can get water to where I need it. Overall I think it's a nice little setup. Might be good for anyone who needs a good size water tank for their outdoor adventures.

Wouldn’t it be better to keep the water in back under the topper? Sun’s going to heat it up quickly as currently mounted.

As much as I would like to, I didn't exactly have a spot for it
