I might be overthinking this, but I’d rather catch this while still under warranty. Has anyone noticed if any of their windows are noticeably slower opening or closing? For me, my passenger front window moves slower in both directions. Is this normal, or starting signs of the motor giving out? Thanks for the help.

My front passenger window motor is also slow. I asked this last year when I bought my truck, and heard from lots of people it's just the way this truck is. :-/

There's a thread here somewhere that talks about this.

From what I remember, its a different motor for the passenger window. Apparently, the bean counters cut that cost.

Thanks. I did a search, but came up empty. Probably didn’t use enough common words to find it. Sounds about right with cutting costs.

Good to know I’m not the only one and seems common. Thanks

Good to know. I also brought this up when picking up my vehicle, and was told it's in normal range -- but, it clearly sounded more sluggish and more loaded.

Same thing here. Passenger side is significantly slower than all the other windows.

Same, passenger is much slower.

Side note, does the window lock turn off the rear windows for anyone else? Never had a vehicle where the window lock prevents the driver from opening a window with their controls.

Yep. Gotta unlock to control rear.

In every vehicle I've ever had with power windows the drivers side is ALWAYS faster than the passenger side.

I am assuming this is because it's used more.

Is this your first vehicle?

I don't think it's unique to the ranger, but it is worse than in other vehicles I have owned. I remember seeing people mention it in reviews I watched before purchase. Also fwiw I just tested and the passenger window in my toyota work van is a good bit faster than the driver's side.
