Front Lower Shock Stud/Bold Swap

Anyone knocked out the lower front shock studs and replaced them with regular grade 8 bolts? I see the fox kit uses bolts and it makes installing the coil assembly easier as you don't have to push the lower arm down as much to clear the tower. I wonder if the knurling from the studs will cause any issues when trying to get a bolt to fit snug.

The bolts are welded/stuck to the OR shocks. If you aren't replacing the shocks, it will be tough to get them out.

If you are replacing the shock, cut them bitches off. That's what a few guys I know have done.

I thought they were just press fit like a wheel stud. If so, BFH should be able to knock them loose.

I saw a guy in a bronco video that bought the sasquatch struts off a guy replacing them. One had been cut, he just knocked it out an put a bolt in.

On my 2020 they were "press fit".

They are press fit on my 2019. When I installed my level kit, I knocked them out to make the install easier and re-used them. Yes, a BFH was involved.

I now have Fox suspension with the fancy, shiny bolts. ?
