Whether it's 2WD or 4WD yes you need to a tool to compress the spring to adjust height. It can be done like most normal coils. To make them mount up to 2WD nothing special needed to be doneDo you know if he had to make any adjustments? From what I've read these can't be adjusted on the truck and have to be taken back off. I also read the spring needs to be compressed to make the adjustments.
