No the free one works.
You will just need to get a new license after two months if you want to do more changes.

Went to make some changes and couldn't because I didn't get the extended license. Haven't done it yet.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than making sure they key you got took correctly and it shows as registered/activated. Also make sure your hardware ID is correct when you generated the key.

This Thread is slightly outdated now so I just wanted to update it. Changing the size in the mm selection now does work!

Some fine tuning will still be required. I changed mine to the manufacturers specifications on the tire and instead of being about 5 mph slow on the speedometer I’m about 2 fast. Could be several different issues, how the tire sits on different size rims will effect how tall it is inflated. Other issues too so I’ll keep messing with it until it’s a little closer. I know 2mph isn’t a big deal but small stuff like that bothers me so I’ll tweek it.
Does changing tire size this way also generate a DTC without throwing a check engine light or does this get around the DTC issue that was caused by manually editing as-built data?

I do still have the U0422 code

“invalid data received from Body Control Module”

no check engine light.

How do I check that it is registered/activated? Thanks...

The screen where you got your hardware id. Once its activated properly it will read that you have an Extended license next to the hardware id.

It is the question mark icon in the lower left of the app. It should say "Extended license. Registered to: xxxxxxx. Valid until: xxxxxx

Did mine yesterday. Same results. Used manufacture size spec then adjusted down until it was almost exact. Started at 2569 ended up at 2482. It works but got the U0422 code. So going back to original setting will get rid of the code?
Did you do the relearn PCM thing after? I did not.

I did Bambi mode and set the key fob panic at two presses after I was done with the tires.

Thanks Mike,I guess I need to get forscan as I hate that panic alarm. Bret
I've had it on several vehicles now and I've not used it on purpose one time. There is an option to make it two presses or to disable it completely. I set it to two presses but still accidentally activated it once. I may end up totally disabling it.

Edit: Gregg, you beat me to it! :)
