So to everyone that mentions that you get a code when you change the setting. Where does the code show up? Does it cause a CEL? Does it re occur at every start up? Is it always there? Do you need to have your programmer attached to see it? If you change the setting back to factory does the code go away?
I would like to change mine but I don't want to see any messages on normal operation. Thanks.
There's no CEL.

It shows up in the DTC section of FORScan. It goes away when you change 726-12-01 back to its default value.

Thank for the reply. I will probably go ahead and change mine now.

LOL.. I should have tried that first... I just assumed it would be off but since I had the stock 255s on I was probably reading even higher. I did the change anyway so either that took or it didn't matter... good test!
With the 255 yours would likely be off for sure, but probably not by much. If you get any codes by trying to adjust with Forscan, maybe you can just get the dealer to change it to the 265/65R17 option like mine and it might work for you too.

Interesting. I have always been under the impression that you can change your tire diameter up to 3% without it negatively affecting anything and/or requiring a recalibration. Your change is 3.3% so maybe it is close enough? Then again I don't know if what I was led to believe is correct or not either.

Did you also try it with cruise control on? I don't have my truck yet but I assume it is like our Edge in that you set it by a digital speed number. If that set number doesn't match the truck's speed that would be an issue for me.
Yep, I tried it with cruise control as well and it was right on the money. While I was out and about today I had my phone in the cupholder again and kept an eye on it. It matched my truck every time I looked so Iā€™m going to call this one done for me and not bother messing with anything!

The code on my brothers truck (I still have stock wheels/tires) comes back on every start. It does NOT cause a CEL, but is always there. I tried to clear it 2 or 3 times but it would come back after every restart. We undid the changes and the code went away. Put it back and it came back. No messages, but the code is persistent - it does not appear to affect anything at all according to my brother.

Which tire size and what value did you change to?
Stock: 255/65-17 - 726-12-01: xxxx 0910 xxxx

Change: 285/70-17 - 726-12-01: xxxx 09DC xxxx

Cruise set at 70mph, GPS reads 70mph. Before the change with the cruise at 70mph the GPS would indicate 75mph.

And you don't have a DTC in the PCM when connected via FORScan?

Not that I saw, but I will check it out next time I have it plugged in.
I didn't see the DTC when I connected with my android OBDLINK app, only when connecting via FORScan.

255/65r17 -> 255/75r17 : 0910 -> 0998

70mph cruise - gps sits mostly at 70 but ranges 70.2 - 69.8

I can confirm that this fix works as advertised! Speedometer and GPS speed matchup perfectly. I can also confirm that it's throwing a code. I switched from 0934 to 09DC.

It's a small compromise to get a properly working speedometer and accurate milage.

Getting close to lift/tire install. Thanks to all who are contributing.

This ā€˜codeā€™ seems to have no affect and only detectable with forscan.

Question: Does the code come up with a typical OBD scan?

I connected to my OBDLink MX Bluetooth from my phone and using their software it does NOT detect the DTC. I only see it when I connect via FORScan.

This my be a strech, but you think this may be a code that Ford has to show something is not set to the default from the factory?. I had a android that i got into (jailbreak) and it had a code that you could only see when you were in-that mode. I was to show the phone manufacturer that you had been in it. You had to set it back to default before the code would go away. Anyway, just a thought.
