I may have missed it but is there a way to keep all of the buttons on the dash lit up with the lights off? It's hard to see the fan/temp buttons during the day with sunglasses on...

For anyone with remote start, I was able to verify the following mod from the F-150 as working for the Ranger, backstory below.
Enable/Change Factory Remote Start Dash Controls:
IPC 720-02-02 xxxx-XXxx
21 (Disabled)
AA (Enabled - Vehicle Without Heated Seats)
FD (Enabled w/Climate Control)
FE (Enabled w/Climate Control and Heated Steering Wheel)
For whatever reason, my XLT had pretty much everything but factory remote start (outside of the FordPass App) and this was a feature I very much wanted. Only problem is nobody knew how or what module to add for OEM remote start. I found someone that said they had verified the EcoSport OEM VSS (security system w/remote start) to also work on the Ranger, link below. So I bought the module, hooked it up, and to my surprise it was complete plug and play. Closed the door, on the key fob pressed lock/unlock/lock and it started right up, doors locked and marker lights on.The problem I was running into was it seemed to have a default setting for the climate control, meaning it was full A/C blowing. Not normally an issue here in AZ, but I'd like it to just use the last setting in the vehicle. Since it didn't come with factory remote start this was not an option in the dash. After some research I found the systems are set to heat or cool the vehicle to 70 deg., so depending on your climate it could go either way. The mod above gave me the ability to control how the climate control works with the remote start (auto/last setting)
Since the vehicle did have remote start options via the app I did not have to change any settings to have it enabled, only to be able to control the climate control setting it uses when starting remotely. Both of these settings can be changed with Forscan however. If you do not have factory remote start, you can get it (and upgrade the security system) with the OEM module in the link below.

Yes, once the module is installed a standard (no start button) remote will remote start the vehicle by pressing lock/unlock/lock.For clarity, are you saying that with a standard remote (no start button) that lock/unlock/lock remote starts the truck without any changes to the computers?
My guess is yes, but it will break something else like it does in the USA. (turn by turn stops working via sync, not the MyFord Touch Nav).Anyone know if the code for nav in motion will work in the Australian my19 ranger
With sync3 version 3.4
I don't remember seeing an option for that on the Ranger wiki or F150 spreadsheet...maybe someone else has?I may have missed it but is there a way to keep all of the buttons on the dash lit up with the lights off? It's hard to see the fan/temp buttons during the day with sunglasses on...
Haven't tried it but think you're probably good...haven't seen any limitations stated with the extended license.Very new to Forscan, so once I get the cable and download the software. Will I be able to save multiple vehicles baselines? I only plan doing a few mods to my Ranger but I have two buddies with F150's
Thank uMy guess is yes, but it will break something else like it does in the USA. (turn by turn stops working via sync, not the MyFord Touch Nav).
Take a backup of the AsBuilt data for that module, make the change, and at worst case restore the module from the backup if it doesn't work.
Just curious what you mean by this? Ive done this change and other than Euro speed signs and an extra digit in the FM radio numbers, everything works just fine. Maybe Im missing something as I dont use NAV much, but Ive done a couple and it always told me where to turn.....My guess is yes, but it will break something else like it does in the USA.
