Completed the update today...no issues. Was prepared for a long wait but the update finished in about 35 minutes.
Noticed a lot of the questions posted here are answered in the instructions.
Many strips of double-sided tape. Quite secure if you prep the surfaces properly.
Forget the little alcohol wipes they provide...I'd buy denatured alcohol at Home Depot and do it right.
Haven't tried it but think you're probably good...haven't seen any limitations stated with the extended license.
You need the extended license anyway to do mods to the Ranger.
Speaking of nanny interference...love how many of them you can eliminate using Forscan. The only chimes I hear now are brief warnings when fuel is low, wiper fluid etc. Brilliant.

Agree with you about soldering. I work on wiring harnesses for offroad motorcycles and the gold standard is a good crimp with the correct tool. We use stranded wire for flexibility and durability under vibration...as soon as you solder a stranded wire you create a high risk spot for wire...
There's a Forscan setting "Navigation in Motion" that allows you to change nav destinations, do texting, and change settings while driving.
I've done it and it works well. Haven't tried it with pandora but imagine it would work.

I use my Ranger to haul my dirt bike so didn't want the Ford emblem...it's pretty thick, covers a groove the front tire could rest in, and the bed's short enough already. Went with LineX instead.
Change the leverage, length, or suspended weight of a shock and you can run into issues.
Change them all and you can find yourself needing to start from scratch.
