Hi,

I have a 2019 Ford Ranger Lariet and has come up with a weird issue. If i start it for the first time in a day, i get multiple alerts (Hill start assist not available, pre-collision not available, service advacetrac system, check park aid etc.) If i drive it for a bit, turn it off, leave it for 10-15 mins, start it up, i get none of the alerts, and everything works. Ive replaced the battery, but the same issue occurs daily.
I hooked up forscan, and i get a host of alerts.
Code: U0438 - Invalid Data Received From Trailer Brake Control Module
Code: U0415 - Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System
Code: U0121 - Lost Communication With Anti-Lock Brake System
Code: B137F - Steering Wheel Left Switch Pack
Code: B10AD - Rain Sensor
Code: U0415 - Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System
Code: C0037 - Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor
Code: U3000 - Control ModuleCode: B113C - Hazard switch illumination
Additional Fault Symptom :)11):
- Circuit Short To Ground
Code: B1337 - Right Front Door External Antenna

Im not sure what to do next, or what to look for. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Bummer.

Loose/Bad connection somewhere? @airline tech likely has some insight on what systems or harnesses might be in play with these codes and might be able to direct you where to look first. I hope it’s an easy fix for you.

Most of the warning messages on the dash that you are getting would be caused by a faulty Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor. Check the connector to the sensor. Remove the sensor and check for debris build-up. It may need to be replaced.

As for the other DTCs, I would clear all the fault codes and see which ones return.

I do not think its the - Rear Sensor

First - We need the complete code and the module reporting it to effectively T-Shoot the issue.

Using the codes posted:
I am focused on (Power Related) Codes

U3000 - If this is the ABS Module - U3000-(xx) and the other related ABS Module codes U0121 & U0415 plus
B137F - B10AD - B113C - B1137 - all of these codes depending on (-) number relate to circuit power

Was a BMS (Reset) performed with the battery change?

I am thinking that the BMS system - is still picking up - the old battery charging algorithm
or
You have a true circuit issue - draining the battery (overnight) - Parasitic Draw and when you first start in the AM - the ABS Module encounters a Brownout - voltage drops at the module and generates most of the codes you are getting.

Driving it - brings the battery voltage back up - and next start - codes are clear

I would perform a charging system test and check the resting voltage at shutdown and again in the AM before starting the truck.

If it drops considerably (overnight) - something is draining the battery and we need to look at the (B) codes as a possible source

Other possible - isolation points
Scan it - when the dash messages are active and again when they are not

Plus when you run the scan - there will be another number in the code - with a note (active) or (history)

When you have all codes clear - run a (Self-Test) on the ABS and BCM and SCCM and FCIM and see if they report any codes (a repeat of the B codes you have listed)

I would also check the connector on the ABS module

I get this while I’m chewing through rear ends often a very small amount of metal on the sensor is all it takes to make mine throw a fit just my input

This is probably too simple. I recently replaced my battery which required removing several cables on the B+ terminal plate. Everything was fine for several months until I hit a few hard bumps during a trip. The truck stopped, restarted and flashed several failure messages. Panic. When I got home I found one cable with a loose attaching bolt. I tightened the bolt and all has been well since.

Agreed. The wheel sensor could be the culprit.
They are interconnected and control many of the safety alerts.

Others have had the same dash warning messages and a bad wheel speed sensor was the issue. I would look at the LR wheel sensor first, reset all the DTCs and drive it and see if any DTCs come back.

I did the Battery reset when i changed the battery, and i measured before starting and it was 12.14 Volts. I will take it for a drive and see if i can get a reading when the errors go away.

Thanks for your time with this again, really appreciated.

are you clearing these codes - and they keep returning?
I am thinking now - that the wheel speed senor or the wiring may be (shorting) is not just a bad signal - Battery Voltage appears normal range - for wake up - opening the door & hood, as it has a drawl on it and aligns with what i see (if i plug in my meter) before starting @ key on - so that issue can be eliminated
