FordPass "Remote Start" works fine for me. I don't recall ever having a problem with it.

Mine said it didn't work this morning, but it did. Same thing with the locks. Unlocked the second the app said they didn't lol.

The 300 yard maximum range is for the key fob in ideal conditions . Mine generally has issues over a couple hundred feet . The FordPass app uses the AT&T cellular network and can be spotty as heck . Mine may or may not work at home but does well at work most times . It can send the signal to start just fine and not get the confirmation back to the phone app that it did indeed start if the cell signal at the trucks location is spotty . This is not rocket science , it is the nature of relying on a cellular 2way communication.

I had lots of issues with this last winter. When I needed (wanted) it the most, it seldom worked. I figured it would have something to do with the amount of traffic through the app or network. I did find that scheduled starts were very reliable. This year has been better but still not 100%.

Even with Soupie being on a battery tender, I did get the "going to deep sleep" message on the Ford App, so no remote starting.

This morning it would have been nice because this is Soupie's very first frost.

So I ordered the X-Start yesterday and hopefully that acts as a backup (Cheech is extra grumpy if he's cold).

I had issue with mine 2-day as well - Failed to Start from Ford Pass, signed out of Pass and signed back in - Now Starts Truck.

So I can remotely start with fob and with app but the scheduled start hasn't worked since daylight savings

I had it set to 6:10 AM, then when time changed it said 5:10 AM. I thought it failed to start, but it WAS starting at 5:10AM, I just didn't hear it. I had to delete the start times, and then re-enter to desired start times. I did get a 'failed to start" according to schedule this morning, but I just manually started with the app.

Since it did not work this AM I have been trying all day at work. Will not work. I have logged out and back in app and still nothing. First time in year and a half I can not get it to work. Just in time for below freezing weather this week.

With so many people have problems the last couple days, I'd say it is something on Ford's side, not AT&T since we are all on different areas of the network. My guess is that Ford has a data base that send out commands to start the trucks. It also leaves me to believe that even the scheduled starts or not stored in the app or in the truck.

Please note step five, and make sure you read the word "Wait". And, as the manual states, 300 yards is the maximum distance. This said, indoor construction materials and/or building wiring will shorten this distance, sometimes to just a few feet.

The word "Wait" does not appear in step 5, nor in any of the steps.

My 19 xl starts everytime that I put the key in and turn it. I dont know why you'all have problems. I deleted Ford Pass early on. A word to the wise.

Remote start with the FOB is Lariat only, unless the owner added an aftermarket remote start.

No...I can do it on my XLT.
Could also do it on my '19 XLT
Both had Sport and 302A package so maybe that's a determiner?

I think the 300 yards is for the fob, I started mine from Korea last month...

If somebody from Korea can use Ford pass to start your truck then anybody can. Delete Ford Pass. It also records your conversations. LOL
