My son showed me a video from his truck an F150 from the dash cam. Seems he lost control one night and left the road. Drove off the shoulder to a stone wall road edge and then a 4’ drop down a gully and into a tree grove. How he managed to make the jump and then steer through the trees without a scratch still amazes me. Just needed an alignment afterwards. Even that wasn’t really needed which was a shocker too. In the dash cam you can see stuff flying around the interior of the cab. Built tough is a for sure!

Bet he's glad he wasn't in one of these. 2016 Silverado if you can't tell.. Older couple passed away in this unfortunately.

"I want real metal around me" shut the F up.
Sure glad they have steel body panels....

My experience came in a Mercedes SL550. Head on from a Dodge Dakota at around 50 mph. We both were able to open our doors and walk out. I ended up with just a cracked sternum from the steering wheel, but no long term injuries. Bought an F150 after that.

When I looked at the first picture I thought it was photo shopped, there is hardly any debris on the sidewalk, and such a clean hole through the wall, the second picture, definitely not photo shopped.

I wonder if the black box recorder shows WOT or braking at the time of impact??

I can attest to how Ford protects their drivers and passengers. I had a '95 Ford Escort back in the early 2000's.

During an early morning commute (approx. 5-5:30am) I had to pass through a construction zone. They were converting a two-lane road into a four-lane but the other side wasn't complete at the time, so it was still two-way traffic.

I was northbound and there was a tractor trailer going southbound. One problem was that the truck was in my lane, the other is that there was a concrete barrier to my right side so I could not swerve to avoid the truck.

He plowed into the front of my car...shoving the driver's side headlight, and most of the front of the car (what was left of it) completely back against the firewall, shattering my driver's side window and warping the frame of my car to where it almost looked like the letter "C".

The impact was so hard that it knocked the keys out of my ignition...after impact I had the sense to turn off the ignition so I wouldn't become a fireball as well...I had to sort through the glass and other broken pieces of my car to find my keys in order to do so. Luckily, I found them in the passenger's side floorboard.

The car was a completely mangled mess. I got out with just a few cuts on my forehead from the breaking glass and a couple of bruises on my chest and abdomen from the seat belt. I'm not saying that other manufacturers don't make safe vehicles, but I know firsthand that Ford does.

That's kinda why my family owns Ford vehicles...all of us.

Here, I helped you out a bit.

Surprised you had to turn off your car as modern cars with EFI-electric fuel pumps since the 1980s will kill the fuel pump circuit in an accident.

They must have been in a rush for those early Black Friday sales. Amazing to see no one was hurt and the F150 stayed in one piece. One thing I can say is that from those here who've been in some really bad accidents these Fords really protect the driver and passengers.

A new definition of the term curbside pickup. Looks like those light aircrete blocks.
Also seems like a new definition of the term "Remains Intact." ?

It looks like a few things are missing off the front of the truck, but to be fair, it is very impressive.

I thought wow someone made a modern art project out of a truck and wall! the truck just fits so cleanly with hardly any rubble etc. it looks fake lol.

Same here.
That weird white outline around the open door just screams it’s faked.

That white line looks like the cheap Autozone stick on chrome door edge guard that has popped loose at the top .
