First oil change 4k miles

My monitor said about 61 percent at 5,000K miles, but I decided to go ahead and do my first oil change at my ford dealer I had purchased the maintenance contract...I am used to changing oil at about 5K miles normally, so when I saw it said 61 percent, I was curious, so i asked the service manager and he said, you can go at 10K according to the engineers, but he told me, your warranty is limited truthfully so its a good idea to come in at about 5K so we can see you a lot more in a year then coming in at 10K

Im with you - 5k ......with my past trucks that interval has never failed me .....there is no way I am ever going 10k between oil changes on my vehicle even if the dealership or EOL calculation tells me I can......to each his own - I say do what works for you.
