Eibachs Leaking

My son inspected my truck yesterday (he’s a A Tech for GM) and pointed out that both of my front Eibach shocks/struts are leaking from the top. I installed them August 2020.
I emailed Eibach and they responded quickly asking for a couple pictures which I sent. Within an hour they emailed me back and told me two new struts would be going out UPS asap! Not sure what happened but that’s awesome customer service!
Although I do have to put the new ones in. Not looking forward to that….again! Lol.

And that is why it pay's to buy a reputable brand....you may pay a bit more up front , but it is well worth it. A good company selling a good product will stand behind their products.

The only problem is you either have to do the job twice or pay to have it done twice.

I had Eibachs and 1 started clunking at ~5000 miles. I switched to Bilsteins, no problems yet on this set or any previously owned

I had Bilsteins on my Focus ST. They do make a good products. Comparable to Eibach. IMO.

I’ve got the Eibachs. No problems for 15 months and 25,000 miles so far.

Interesting to say the least. Yeah any shock can leak after a period of time and who know what the cause will be until it happens. If anything Eibach is doing good on their part and taking care of it with no major hassle

Agreed on the points about customer service and reputable brands.

This is why I try not to buy the cheaper "off-brand" alternatives for my bigger purchases. Customer service and product support is key.

Although, in today's day and age a lot of the more reputable companies have even become lax in their approach to customer service.

"Due to (insert excuse) your item will be delayed"

Excuse list:

A. Covid delays
B. Supply chain issues
C. Staffing issues
D. Shipping issues

Wow that's great they responded so quick without any red tape, although it sucks to be saddled with the labor because of a defective product.
If your warranty claim is still open maybe you can try for a 50/50 split on the labor, doesn't hurt to try.
Better luck on the new set.

Installed my Pro truck 2.0 coilovers and rear shocks 2000 miles ago. I have nothing but praise for how much better they are over the stock fx4 dampeners. The improvement is night and day on the bump and pot hole infested streets of Northern Virgina/DC. I have the 1" blocks in rear fronts coilovers set at 2 3/4" lift and its perfect to me.

Side note, I was initially interested in Bilstiens but they were not available in November when I bought my Eibach and still are not. I am willing to wait three months for my Rocky Road Outfitter sliders but not my lift/ shocks.

Anyone can get a bad product, I bought a $3K TV that fried itself the 2nd week. Have had new stuff fail out of the box. It's how the company stands behind that failed product that counts. Just look at Ford and the Bronco, or our own Rangers, nothing is defect free.
