Anyone seen anything like this we might use? Not sure if the Tesla just uses RFID and ours are something different?

I've said in previous threads that I've trusted the FordPass app to the point I was at the bar, shopping etc. and the app locked the vehicle no problem and when I cam out a short time later the app was not functioning, off line for whatever reason and kinda screw'd me. Three times I just did not want to carry the fob in 1.5 years and had to go home by other means uber, neighbor, son to get my spare fob. NEVER again, not trusting it.Lincoln's eq to Ford Pass has "Phone as a Key" feature, APIM is same between Lincoln and Ford so ability is already in place, just not currently for us low life's in Fords.
You can purchase the key pad, it's not built in, it's held on with adhesive. There are times when I'd like to lock my key in the truck an not carry it but I don't trust the app as the only means to open the truck. Nick confirms my feelings. I would trust the key pad on the side of the truck but I don't have that option.
I thought the Tesla still had like a credit card that was the "key"Agree on the fob size, I do think you will see more and more car manufacturers switch over to systems like Tesla or do entry AND vehicle driving by using your phone. Believe its Hyundai or Kia who I've seen advertise this.
Would be nice to see the phone key work based on Bluetooth so that there would be else issues with connectivity.
They do. But you can link your phone too and use it as a key also.I thought the Tesla still had like a credit card that was the "key"
That's great to know. I had one on a previous vehicle and loved it. Do you if it is something I could install and program myself, or does it have to be dealer installed? I see the keypad for about $100, but fear how much the dealer may charge for install. You can purchase the key pad, it's not built in, it's held on with adhesive.
Might just be a matter of turning it on with the forscan...which I know nothing about lolThat's great to know. I had one on a previous vehicle and loved it.
