  1. OEM bed rails?

I don't know if any "cross rails" that are designed to fit onto bed-rails like this. Do have an example of the type of cross-rails are you are referring to that you could post? They are reasonably sturdy if that's what you are asking about, but I wouldn't attach a tremendous amount of weight...
  2. Noob question, If I want to put a slightly taller tire on my factory wheels with no lift, what is the go-to size?

I put BFG KO2s on my previous 3 trucks and they performed great in the snow. I even had plows on my last two trucks and went through a lot of deep snow. Theoretically narrower tires are better in snow, but like I said, I never had any problems. Also, TireRack found the KO2's to have the best...
  3. Ford Ranger 2019 | Crash Tests [ALL: Front, Side, Side-Pole]

Interesting that it would have achieved a "top safety award" if not for the headlights. I wonder what is is about the headlights that's sub-par, and if there is anything than can be done to improve that shortfall?
  4. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

    1. I don't know about the warranty. I think that some folks on here have said that Ford would have to prove that a given mod caused the failure to avoid a warranty claim, and my opinion is that it would be hard to prove that this small change in tire size caused a problem, but that's just my...
  5. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

I haven't heard any noises when turning and I just looked and I don't see any wear/scuff marks on the mudflaps. I purchased OEM Ranger mudflaps from an eBay Ford Dealer and installed them myself. Other brands of mudflaps may have different clearance. I like the look and I'm hoping my side...
  6. Biggest tires, no lift?

My truck is not a Sport, but I recently put 265/70R17 BFG KO2 tires on my 2020 XLT with stock rims and no lift and they fit just fine.
  7. Trash?

I put one of these in the driver's door. Empty it when full (which takes a while). Doesn't rattle and was only $8. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R8XB8K8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

No rubbing. Before I had the tires installed, I did check clearance all around and noticed the front left crash bar was closer than all the others so I loosened it and moved it back. But this is a very modest increase in tire size so I think I would have been fine even without doing that.
  9. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

I just got some 265/70R17 BFG All Terrain KO2's installed. Stock rims and no lift, but I'm still really pleased with the look and the quiet ride. Here are some pics .
  10. Ford Performance Battery Maintainer

I just got a C-Tek and hooked it up yesterday. Is there something unusual about how to hook it up that I should be aware of? I couldn't find the other thread that you refered to. Thanks.
  11. Speedometer recalibration tools - Looking for advice

Doesn't look like anyone has used the Rough Country unit. I'll probably spring for the Hypertech. Meanwhile, does anyone know the answer to my second question (repeated below for reference)? 2) If I use one of these tools to correct my speedo and shift points, will I need to "undo" any...
  12. Speedometer recalibration tools - Looking for advice

Thanks, Toytec. I'll check out eBay. Meanwhile, has anyone used the Rough Country tool linked above? It looks similar to the Hypertech but is less expensive.
  13. Speedometer recalibration tools - Looking for advice

Thanks for the response. Many do use Forscan as I noted in my post. As I said, I currently think I'd prefer to use a commercial tool such as the ones I asked about.
  14. Speedometer recalibration tools - Looking for advice

I'm going to be upgrading my tires to 265/70R17 and want to correct my speedometer after doing so. I know that Forscan can be used for this, but I'd prefer to use a commercial tool that I can leave with the truck when I sell it someday. These tools also claim to adjust shift points and such...
  15. Adding another 1" to the lift.

I have no idea what other mods this might require or impact, but traxda makes a 1" spacer kit for the front of the Ranger that might do what you are after. https://traxda.com/ford-lift-and-leveling-kits/101060.html
  16. Loose Plastic Sound in Dash

I've occasionally heard a vibration that sounds like rattling plastic right under the driver's side of the dash as you said. It sometimes does it when the engine is working hard going uphill. I was excited when I read about the plastic behind the rear view mirror issue, but it turns out that...
  17. Backing up with Tailgate down - Way to turn off Annoying Warning?

I have a 2020 Ranger with package 301A and the trailer tow package. That is interesting that there seems to be so many slightly different button configurations. You'd think Ford would want to standardize to some extent. It would be handy to have that button, but now that I know that the...
  18. Backing up with Tailgate down - Way to turn off Annoying Warning?

Thanks for this (I also have the XLT 301A package), and to all the other folks that suggested I try using the info screen by the speedometer. I'm always looking at the rear-view mirror so I never noticed that the small info screen pops up a message saying "Rear Parking Assist?", with ON and OFF...
  19. Backing up with Tailgate down - Way to turn off Annoying Warning?

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I just went out and looked at my XLT and I don't have this button (see pic below). Does that mean I'm destined to hear this alarm forever?
  20. Backing up with Tailgate down - Way to turn off Annoying Warning?

When hauling bikes I frequently drive with the tailgate down. Whenever I back up there is a continuous warning sound - I assume because the backup camera is facing the ground, but there are other sensors in the rear bumper and they are not being blocked. A lot of people use bed extenders and...
