I have a 2020 Lariat and mine are the same way. I haven't found anything yet either. Here are the part numbers if you decide to replace them.

Belt Molding Right Front - Ford
(AB3Z-2620934-C)

Belt Molding Left Front - Ford
(AB3Z-2620935-C)

Belt Molding Right Rear - Ford
(AB3Z-2625554-F)

Belt Molding Left Rear - Ford
(AB3Z-2625555-E)

Edit: The part numbers above are for the SCREW.

These are for the SCAB

Belt Molding Right Front - Ford
(AB3Z-2620934-A)

Belt Molding Left Front - Ford
(AB3Z-2620935-A)

Thank for the information. I just replaced the drivers side molding without any issues. I did use the installation tool and it took me about 10 minutes . The screw holding it in lace is a torx

Went and restored my trim tonight with Cerakote. Started off by prepping the trim with:
1 oz of Dawn
1oz oz of alcohol
1 bottle of water
And the magic eraser

Clean but not perfect. Didn't want to dig into to much and Cerakote is supposed to restore the color. I just wanted to make sure no coatings or preservatives are left on the finish.

Can't believe how much crap I got off the trim and I think I take pretty good care of this truck.

Trim looks brand new now. Now I just need to let it cure and we'll see how long this last. From some YouTube videos show this product lasting 2 years or better.

Sure, but it’s Australia Cam. Every living creature and the sun are doing their best to try and kill you. Every. Single. Day. ;) Struth!

It’s a miracle Steve Irwin lasted as long as he did.
Well you do have a point.... Although Steve did push the envelope a bit. Sad a really nice guy who actually lived a short drive from us.

Local insurance add

Sad thing is those spiders are really common here, they are commonly found inside our house

Kill it with 🔥
You would never get that close, they are called huntsmen, because they don't spin webs, they run down and pounce on their prey, like cockroaches, moths, beetles, geckos, small children. They will just hang around or walk slowly normally, but are really, really, fast when disturbed. Luckily they are only moderately toxic to humans. A bite can be painful for a few hours but won't kill you. This one thrilled my wife to pieces when she went to pack away that laundry.

We have these bastards (brown recluse) running around the house. Killed 5 so far this year. I guess on some people the bite can cause your flesh to rot away around the bite. Supposedly every house in region has them. I really don't like spiders.

Looks nasty, we also have redback spiders, which are a close relative of your black widows, they can and have killed children, but fatalities are rare now days as a locally developed antivenom is freely available. Less serious in adults, I got bitten a few years ago (must have gotten into a shirt hung up to dry under our verandah - redbacks love verandahs) and bit me on the shoulder, they leave a characteristic "target like" ring around the bite which bloody hurts for days and makes you feel like a bad hangover.

Oh well in that case watch this, (another local insurance add) fast forward to 43 seconds if you don't want to see the rest, - although as adds go it's pretty good, it's the lovable huntsman again.

Oh and so I can't be accused of derailing the thread too much, here's what your grey window seals will look like in 10 years time, mine is a mid 2015 model and just had it's 10th birthday.

I tried every possible product but they eventually still just crumbled. I'm going to have to replace them, local replacements from Ford are only mildly extortionate. This and the sun-glass holder inside which will no longer lock in the up position (will have to replace that too) are my only two real trim failures on the truck so all in a pretty good run from Ford, who hasn't always had the best reputation for build quality over here.

All right last pic, I wanted to get one out in the day light so the 5g crew could get a better look than my dimly lit garage. I did put a seconded coat on last night and that made it look great.
Since my door handles were looking a little faded and my wipe still had some life in it, I decided to do those too. I think they turned out great as well.

Wow those are ate up.
I don't think anything will bring them back when they get that far gone. Good call on going with replacements.

I don’t think those scab part numbers are correct

I believe these numbers for the scabs are the correct ones:

AB3Z-2120934-A

Positions: Right
Description: Super cab.

AB3Z-2120935-A
Positions: Left
Description: Super cab.

just saw a used 2024 ranger on Chevy dealer lot with infected moldings

I saw a Gold Eagle product online that I hadn’t seen before. It is specifically for trim restoration and protection.

Has anyone here tried this out? Your thoughts?

Maybe they can hook @AzScorpion up with some and he can let us know how it works. Better yet, maybe they can hook me up with some and I’ll review it. 😀
