Dealer Installed GPS Devices

I know a lot of members are totally against having these devices installed in your vehicle. This is why I don't mind having one.

Somebody tried to break into or take my truck last night. It’s nice to know I can have it tracked if it does happen.

Fordpass will tell you where it is. Don’t need some dealer installed addon to do that. There have been some pretty bad wiring hacks from dealer addons.

The person definitely checked the door handle to see if it was unlocked. It's tough to see, but the door handle came up a bit.

I don’t think these guys are that smart. The driver is looking right at the camera for everyone too see. Say “Hello!!”

no dealer installed GPS will protect you in that case.

I drive around neighborhoods at night for a living.

Have seen this before plenty of times. These are not car thiefs. They are car burglars. They're simply hoping to luck out and find an unlocked vehicle to rifle through.

are the dealer ones hardwired for power or do they have an internal battery? i dont know myself.

According to LoJack, they have a backup battery in case the vehicle is without power.
