That's my next option if the adhesive lets loose. Hardly any of the adhesive on the rubber pad stayed on the tailgate so I decided to try it under the hood.

I grew up in the era when you didn't waste anything.

Probably not for everyone, however I put mine between the shifter and front storage tray area, there is a nice flat spot where it can be centered

New Blackout rear camera housing in gloss black and Ford emblem in matte & gloss black, arrived and installed. Now tailgate looks clean.

How did you get the front off? Mine seams to have bolts with glue covering them.

Also how did you reattach the new emblem?

I ran into the same problem, but my fix is only temporary as I am installing the Ford Raptor grille, so I don’t need this front emblem. So I pulled off the stock emblem and then used industrial two-way tape and crazy glue to put it on. It’s been a few weeks and I have not had any problems. So in other words I have no idea how to install the new emblem on the stock grille J

I ran into similar problem with my '06 Ranger. Added an F-series Blue Oval back up camera to my truck. Since the camera came with a new emblem, I decided to switch out the sun faded grille emblem with the one I removed from the tailgate to do the camera install. The grille emblem had plastic pins on the back that went through the grille and were held in place by jam nuts. Since the gate emblem was originally attached to the gate using 3M automotive double-sided molding tape, this was my only option to reinstall it on the grille. That was 4 yrs ago and it hasn't budged. Been through automatic car wash numerous times.

The front emblem is held on by two self tapping nuts on the plastic studs. I think they were 10mm, but I don’t remember. I just got my ratchet on them and the came off without a fuss. I reused them with my new badge. They are a little tricky to get started on my new badge because they cut the threads into the plastic studs.

That’s what I figured. I got impatient and ripped it off, broke it. Then gorilla taped the new one on.

It’s been raining for days but I wanted to post some shots of the new emblems. Color match Ingot Silver and my trim magnetic

When I ordered the Ranger I told the salesman no dealer sticker and he said no problem. I plan to remind him a couple of days before arrival/delivery.
As an update, I got my Ranger last week. I reminded the salesman when it arrived and I got it with no stickers added. Just two dealer add plates which he replaced with the actual plates days later.
