I'm with you. I like the FX4 decal. I'm removing the dealer installed free advertising decals...unless they want to make a car payment or two.
Oh. I see haha. Yea you dont want those.

I work for a sign company and we use Lighter fluid to clean up adhesive and to remove double sided tapes. Goof off softens it, but smears the adhesive everywhere and makes a mess.

Dampen a spot on a micro fiber towel with lighter fluid and gently rub the glue off. It’s especially good for removing adhesive left over from vinyl lettering, but you’d be surprised by what this stuff will clean. We started using the Ronsonol stuff people fill zippos with, but now we just use generic stuff on all types of painted surfaces without any damage. WD40 works too like Cape Cruiser said.

What's the best product to remove the glue from a dealer installed badge without damaging the clear coat?
maybe ask the dealer to remove the Dealer stickers. Since they are not paying us to advertise, they should remove their propaganda. On the other hand, if you can convince them to pay you to advertise for them, that is a different story.

I was gonna to remove the dealers advert sticker, but living in Florida and being a Florida Gators fan, this one seems like it needs to stay. What do you all think, keep or remove?

If you want to advertise the dealer, keep it. If you want to show you're a FL Gators Fan, get the proper sticker... :)

I asked my dealer not to put any on but when I picked the truck up there was one on the tailgate. I mentioned it to the salesman and he took it off right then and there!

It took joining the Army and leaving California before I ever realized this was a thing. You still rarely see it in California and quite frankly when you do, it's just CARMAX that does it.

Every vehicle, job #1, remove the damn dealer sticker. In Las Vegas, I'd just leave it outside for a few hours and peel it off. Now I use my heat gun and warm it up in seconds, then peel it off without residue. Almost any paint-friendly cleaner will do if there's residue.

I removed the dealer sticker this evening. I moved the Ranger into the garage and turned the heat on for awhile. Then I heated up the sticker with a hair dryer and it peeled off no problem, with no residue left. I wiped on some Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax afterwards, because it was the only spot that had not received the initial coat of it.
