Still not as bad as the weird dash tray on the new Chevy Colorado. It’s hidden behind the infotainment screen and is quite small.

I think that’s a poor location for a chili dog tray.

Absolutely, it is protected by the same fuse and still works as designed. The total maximum draw of both USBs is less than 4A.
The powerpoint outlet works exactly as always. I'm using an armrest cooler/heater in my back seat powered by the outlet on the back of the console which also is the power source for two USB charge points inside the console.
It is total actual draw which limits the outlet, not the number of devices...
Common sense should prevail of course.

That second adapter below is a bit extreme just to make a point even though it is in common use!:whew:;)

That last one is an octopus lol. Reminds me of our old school wiring in our police cars

I went crazy ? Machined a back plate as I connected an arm to mine. It keeps it from vibrating. It’s tricky to get the insert back to full seating after removal. In the end with mine I decided to use threaded back blocks and fastened it down so I know it won’t pop out on its own from arm leverage. I post another of it installed with the arm on it.

I just noticed that the photo in this post on page 3 shows the same issue I had, with a gap under the lip front & center. Just wanted to confirm if that's what you're trying to solve? The gap I had was a lot larger, though, but like I said it went away on it's own.
Before I remove my tray, is there any chance that there is a front and back for the tray and dash so that it will fit loose or tight accordingly?
