And they vote! And some large portion of them will be making decisions about how our society functions. How they see the world and understand our society will be the undoing of all of us.

I watch them take out their phone to do simple addition! They can't read a clock... or comprehend a novel! They have the attention span of a gnat...

We have a society with a few extremely bright people, but the masses are dumbed down to 3rd or 4th grade intelligence, with little or no emotional maturity.Essentially children in adult bodies.

Early start to the plunging season, this happened over the weekend near Ouray, note the other vehicle in the upper right. Need more tourists to clog the highway as they act to keep speeds under control.

I bet the driver was texting all the way down!

I can see it happening in the winter when things ice up and foolish drivers take a chance, but on a dry road... stupidity reigns supreme!

It'll buff out!

When I lived in Denver I use to get a grin taking visitors from back east up Trail Ridge Rd or Loveland pass, no guardrails and there would be visible angst on their faces. 550 above Ouray does have some stretches that one best be focused on driving.

Reminds of the tour bus trip we took along the Million Dollar Highway in Co. You could look out the bus window and see nothing but straight down. No guard rails (that I remember). That to me was nerve wracking. Glad we had an experienced driver.
