I just got a 2020 Ranger (Lariat) a few weeks ago. I was looking at it the other day and it looked like it was a little crooked. I went and got a tape measure, and checked at the front wheel wells, and on level-ground with no load in the truck, there is a 5/8" difference between the passenger and driver side.
I checked the tire pressure on both front tires, and they are both exactly 31psi.

Other than the truck looking a little crooked, I don't really notice anything unusual while driving.
I also noted a little bit of uneven wear on the two front tires, with the outer part of the tire being more worn than other parts of the tire.

When I bought the truck, it came with a 10k km warranty, and I was thinking of bringing it back to the dealer to have them correct this problem, but I'm not sure if I'm overreacting.

What would you do?

If I read correctly, the driver side is lower than the passenger side?

Sounds normal to me since the fuel tank is on the drivers side however I also have a 2020 lariat, I'll go measure it if I can locate my tape measure

Thanks, I'd really appreciate that.

Hey Todd - trucks often have a 1/2” lean and the Ranger is no different. Some have it more than others - Ford even has shims to even it out as it leaves assembly.

Hopefully, that’s all this is. Unfortunately, once you notice it, you can’t unsee it.

Mine is perfect...every gap and panel are parallel and and even...the left side of the bed is same height as the right...super quiet, never makes ticking noises under the hood...the FX4 shocks are the best thing Ford ever invented...I've never smelled gas in my oil either...don't look that up...

Hi Todd,

Get the alignment checked and fix the tire wear issue...then remeasure the truck. Is it lifted or leveled? Sort sounds like it might have been...

Best,
Phil
