the old ranger supercab doors where an issue. I had one that had the passenger rear door rusted shut.....never did get it open. Thanks Hounddog for your honest response, I also have little need for a habitable rear seat and prefer the 6 foot bed.
I currently own a 2000 Supercab which has a disturbing trait, while driving on a certain section of a highway, the body of the vehicle flexes enough to cause the left front door latch to become ajar.
Mind you the door does not fly open, but the door does become ajar, I've owned this truck since new and repeated visits to the dealer yielded no positive results. I've since learned to live with it and avoid that particular stretch of the highway.
Hopefully Ford has eliminated this flex in the new generation Supercab.
These rear doors are larger and a much better design. I don't see the same issues popping up.
I think the issue was a poor latch design rather than the cab flexing. I had the same door ajar light/warning with 2 old Ranger Supercabs. The issue was the latch. could never get it adjusted to close tight. Could always push on it and get movement. damn near every other pot hold would result in a warning.
