Mine makes that sound every day..... ? I've gotten used to it but this post has me curious again. Seems like some have it and some don't with no apparent difference in performance or reliability.....
Mine made it once. And it was the day after I read this thread. Which was weird. Didn’t hear it since but figure it’s possible so interested to see how it remedies.

Exactly why it's likely not normal and should be looked at by Ford. Mine does it everyday and is most noticeably with the first start of the day.

Same here, When it's dead cold from sitting overnight its the most noticeable. Has done this since I got it in October. I plan on having the dealer look at this....

Same here with the chirping noise. It only happens on the first morning cold start up. I have my tail lamp connector recall appointment coming up soon and I'll bring it up to them as well.

Uh,,WD40 and a hammer?
Those are always my first go to tools lol.

BTW mine chirps too. I never noticed it when I first got my truck but then there was another post back in the summer about this. Since reading that one I notice it all the time!

I had the dealer look at mine and they said it seems to be working and there was no TSB or recall, so they said I had to live with it. Not the best answer, but given we have warranty, I'm not too worried about it.

Let us know what the dealer tells you.

I wonder if any of the more informed posters here know anything about this. Mine squeaks at warm up and I wonder if it does so when I’m driving. It’s an important part of the turbo. Has me wondering If I should take it to the dealer.

I got a video of my chipmunk as well. Can’t upload it for some reason.

Min is still doing it, but the truck seems to run just fine. The only part that causes concern for me is that no all trucks are doing it, only some. that implies something isn't right.

Mine does it and I think it's ok...30,000+ miles so it must be ok :like:

my chipmunk is pretty loud. I wouldn’t care if it was barely noticeable but it’s like having a squirrel/mouse in your crawl space/walls. I need to trap him and get rid of it. The sounds is obnoxious. My wife’s bmw had a bad bushing that she couldn’t hear. She can hear this sound all the time so I know it’s not just me :).
