Chevrolet Cheyenne To Return As Ford Maverick Fighter?

Saw this posted on the Bronco forum, what do you all think? It's not known yet if Chevy is bringing the Cheyenne back or if they just renewing their patent? There are two pictures shown but the picture from 2003 is the one they're more interested in. Personally I think it's hideous.

I can see them being useful for those who have bad knees and can not get up into the bed. They would be useless if you had a tonneau cover on it though. I wonder if there's dampers on them? ?

True. Though you could add a divider in the front and use it for groceries or other storage.

Seeing as it's a 2003 concept I'm sure it will have some major refineries now. It's almost like they took an Escalade and chopped off the back and added a bed.

I very much doubt it would look like that. The same as any rendering anywhere by anyone, they are just taking existing products and cramming them together.

As far as GM bringing back a compact truck. I have a feeling they're renewing the patent so no one can take it and use it for something else. And if the Maverick and Santa Cruz take off and sell well, then they can develop their own using that name.

Though, in all actuality, I doubt using Cheyenne is going to be culturally allowed anymore. Just based on the Cherokee issues Stellantis is having. And to be fair, I don't disagree. Using the name of a group of people as a product name just doesn't seem okay to me.

I think they'd be better off doing the S10 again. I still see quite a few of those driving around

I whole heartily agree with you there Dennis! I think they should resurrect the S10 like @Steve23 suggested. I'd like to see more competition in the mid size trucks as it pushes every manufacturer to be better. Although with this concept they're aiming at the Maverick so Lord knows what they're thinking?
