A few weeks ago, I bought a new set of Michelins, but they didn't have the factory tire size in stock, so I went to the next size up. To correct my speedometer and odometer, I want to recalibrate them. I do not have a Windows computer, otherwise I would just get ForScan. I have seen programmers that only do tire and gear changes, but they cost close to $300, and at that point, I should just purchase a tuner. Is there an option that I missed? Or should I just get a tune (preferably for 87 octane) and move on? I see Forscan Lite in the app store for $6, will this allow me to change the tire size?

Don’t you need a windows computer for forscan? Or can the forscan lite change it?

A few tuners require a PC as well.
I bought a cheap PC notebook, 8 gig RAM, 256 gig storage, 1.5 Ghz, just for FORScan, and tunes. I think it was about $250 at a Costco type place, but you could probably find one used, cheaper than that today.
Because it just sits bored to death, I put it to work with. two security cams. Now it gets to talk to my Macs and my phone. It has a good life.

Edit,
I even upgraded to Win 11 Pro so that I could Remote Desktop to it. Very convenient.

IMHO @GreyAreaRanger if you're going to spend all that money (Forscan & a PC) just get yourself a tune. This way you can at least get some extra power and still use change your settings with it.

Did this get answered?
No it won't. It is not able to change anything except reset check engine light codes.
You can use it to monitor all sorts of engine parameters, and of course, read CEL codes.

For $6 it's worth it, BUT you still need a pricy wireless/bluetooth OBDII module.

I think this is the route I’ll go if I can get an 87 tune

You’re the first to answer it! I do have the Bluetooth obd scanner already. Will it read transmission temps?

Yep. It will read everything the full blown FORScan reads.

I just looked at a chat that has the differences and adjust accordingly.

Just an update, I decided to go the Forscan route as a friend of mine has a Ford Flex that’s display issues again and he was considering it. Reprogrammed the tire size and disabled the stop start system as well while I was in there. Anyone know how to turn off the timer for the air recirculation for the AC by chance?

It’s not possible to turn off or change the 5 -Minute Timer it’s imbedded into the controller logic - Safety Feature. It has already been explored with no resolution.
The only solution is to use MAX AC

Shame, thought I’d ask anyways. Still looking at other phone things to adjust in the meantime.
