CarPlay microphone volume level

considering it works perfectly over bluetooth it has to be something with carplay. I'm annoyed.
It’s a software issue. Look into ways to roll back to build 19101. That’s the latest version that works properly with the mic volume in CarPlay. Every newer build causes the issue. Good luck!

For what it’s worth, rolling back to 19101 did nothing for the mic issue at all in my 2020 F250 Lariat. It sounded exactly the same.

For what it’s worth, rolling back to 19101 did nothing for the mic issue at all in my 2020 F250 Lariat. It sounded exactly the same.
Try 19200. Thats the one my wifes 2020 F-150 has and it works.

I got excited when I saw your post. Didn't work on F-350 Lariat, in fact I tried 4 different revisions all the way before 3.4 and then the newest one 19234 or something like that. Didn't work too. I think the issue started with 3.4... no way I will try 3.3.. seems to much of a jump :(

Nope. Sitting here with iOS 14.5 still bad
I'm running 14.6. Also still have to yell In my truck for anyone to hear me.

Additional information: If I use bluetooth to connect to the truck (I.e., not carplay) the mic works just fine. People say I sound great. If I *either* plug in with a USB cable *or* use my new wireless CarPlay adapter, I have to scream and the person I've called has to turn their volume all the way up.

Really frustrating.

I'm experiencing the same issue.
I have the same problem. While wired using CarPlay, I have to holler for anyone to hear me. Unplug and switch to bluetooth, and I sound great. Using an iPhone 11 Pro.
same situation for me with a iPhone XS max

Has anyone noticed that callers report that they can’t hear you while on a call and connected to CarPlay?
I have the same issue with my 2020 ranger. Took it to the dealer 4 times. Had two software updates and mic replacement. Still having the same issue. Did you ever get yours fixed ?

YES!!! I was just about to post this.

I've gotten on several calls with different people. All of them say they can either "Barely hear me" or i "sound super far away".

I'm on an iPhone 6S, with my callers on both Android and iPhones. Tried tinkering with all the volume nobs on the car and my phone - still nothing.

I literally have to scream for people to hear me.

Anyone have any resolutions yet, or is the mic just super low on the truck?

This is my daily driver, and I'm concerned on taking work calls from my phone in fear that nobody will hear anything I say.
I have the same issue with my 2020 Ranger. Did you ever get yours fixed. People can’t hear me well. I have to talk with my head pointed to the mic for them to hear me well.

I will try this update tomorrow and report back. Its so annoying having to unplug my phone anytime I get a call !!!!

I'm on .21265 with a 13 P.M. running iOS 15.2 and don't have any issues with mic volume in Carplay.
